Before your change of Institution, Course or correction can be made, Jamb requires you to make payment on her portal after which an OTP will be sent to your registered Phone number afterwards. Without this code, No CBT center can effect your change.
What is OTP?: It means a One Time Password. If you’re familiar with online payments, maybe via remitta, your bank do send a code to you to confirm whether you’re the one trying to make an online transaction with your ATM Card.
Jamb OTP is similar, The body needs to verify that you’re the one trying to make a change to your previous data, hence, the code is attached to the payment made. This payment can be made by the accredited CBT center or you make it yourself before going there.

But some candidates complained recently that they didn’t receive OTP after making payment successfully.
Follow this step if you’re having OTP issues
Go to https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility
Step 1: Login to your Jamb portal with your email (you used during JAMB registration)and a six digit(or letter) password set during regiatration. Most CBT officials simply set it to 123456, or your phone number or 12345678.
Step two;There is a search icon in the home page. Click on it Or go to Services>> Registration (2020 only)
Step three: In the box,type 2020 UTME Data Correction
Step four:You will be asked to select what sort of data correction you want to effect
Step five:You will see a box on top where you can click to resend OTP
Click on it, it will be resent to your registered phone number.

I have done change of institution/Course before the utme exam,but I latter want to change it again now due to an issue.please has anybody done that in this year,is it possible because I read online that it is only Institution a nd course that can be changed twice but I have been trying to change it again but the reply is one change is allowed for a candidate but all the message I have been reading said institution and course can be changed twice, that others are once.

You can change Institution or course more than once, only with separate payments. You can send me a message on how to go about it. Or visit a cBt center.

Not seeing OTP might be due to network or you activated DND on your SIM, if so, send “cancel” to 2442 to disable “do not disturb” the process to get OTP again is the same process followed in making payments. Go to Registration 2020 Only >>2020 UTME Data Correction >> Choice of Institution /Course >>then you’ll see your payment invoice and “Resend OTP button” by the top of the page. Kindly retrieve the SIM. There’s no other way for now. Visit your network provider they can assign the number to you

The process you just read in this post is how to retrieve the code. Follow the same process you used to make payment and you’ll see “resend OTP” click on it. It’ll be resent.

The account you paid with does not affect OTP in any way. Rather, the location or server of the phone or system that made the payment, the network of your SIM or JAMB server at that period are the factors that may delay receiving your code,provided the SIM is with you, active and Not on Do not disturb mode.

OTP can’t be sent to your mail. You need the number. You can consider porting another SIM to that number, visit your SIM provider.

Having seem and not receiving OTP is an issue I’ve heard of since days ago, I assume this is a general problem from JAMB. There are 2 solutions, go to JAMB office to complain, or wait for some days, it’ll be sent. Alternatively, you can message JAMB on twitter @JAMBHQ to report.
